Birthday Girl

Addy was born on June 13, 2004 - a Sunday. We knew she would have plenty of "Friday the 13th" birthdays to come, and this was the first one. No worries, though...nothing scary about our sweetest little girl. Addy had an enchanting princess party to celebrate her 4th birthday. We started out with some Disney princess coloring pages while waiting for everyone to arrive. Mixed in some ball dancing here and there.
Then we moved to the "Castle Reading Corner" for the story of "Cinderella." Look at 'em all enthralled. I was actually quite amazed that they all stayed with me for the duration of the story.

Next was "Ariel's Hidden Treasure Game." Ariel had visited earlier and left a bunch of sand and sea items in our sand pit, so the kids had some fun digging them up.

We came in and decorated tiaras and crowns (for the one prince attending) with all kinds of fun stickers, glittery things, markers, etc.

What princess party is complete without a (leaning tower of...) castle cake? Don't know if you can tell from the picture, but this was quite a lopsided looking thing. Good thing it was covered with frosting and candy...

And, of course, we had to "slay the dragon" at the end!

We love our little princess to pieces! She's the sweetest thing around!

I can't wait until I get to that point with Kate. She's now starting to finally play with Barbie and My Little Ponies instead of trucks and Rescue Heros. At least she knows how to defend herself against older boys.
Addy looks adorable in her Princess costume and looks like she had a lot of fun with her friends too. We miss having to be away for these kind of moments. I can't wait to see you guys in Nov.

Hi Brittany and Barry,
It's Luana Byington. I can't believe I stumbled onto your blog, but I am SO glad I did. How great to see you and your darling little girls. Addy has grown so much since I last saw her as a chubby little baby. What a doll, and your new little Lauren is adorable too. Brittany you look fabulous! I am loving looking at all the pics, but most of them I couldn't enlarge to get a better look at everyone. I will definitely be checking out your blog from now on. This blog thing is way to addictive. I look at everyones blogs like twice a day or more. I love blogging and keeping in touch with old friends. See you in blogasphere!
